Motorola Droid RAZR HD Exposed in EXIF Data

Motorola has been on a roll when it comes to Droid RAZR models lately, coming out with the slightly-revised RAZR Maxx just a few months after the original handset made its debut. Since then, we’ve heard about plans for a possible third RAZR, tipped under the codename Droid Fighter. Today, we get to check out some evidence that may just reveal an additional RAZR variant, or perhaps give us what will be the Fighter’s proper retail name.

EXIF data in public photos on Picasa reveals a device claiming to be the Droid RAZR HD. Considering we heard that the model we know as the Fighter could end up with a 720p display, RAZR HD sounds like it would be a very apt name for the handset.

The phone’s software revision mentions the code name Vanquish. That one’s been floating around for a couple months now, but we’ve yet to tie it to any specific device. One of the few hardware claims that have been made suggests it would have a 13-megapixel camera.

It’s entirely possible that this RAZR HD/Vanquish is the same as the Droid Fighter, but considering we never saw any strong evidence linking the Fighter name to the RAZR-like ICS phone we looked at, maybe the Fighter’s always been something else altogether.
