Back at the beginning of February, way before we had anything resembling a confirmed release date for the Nokia Lumia 900 on AT&T in the US, Microsoft decided to be a little proactive and start accepting pre-orders for the smartphone at its retail stores. For a brief time, you could put down $25 towards securing a 900 when the phones eventually arrived. Just a week later, Microsoft abruptly put a stop to these pre-orders, accepting no more and giving no explanation for the change of heart. With the 900′s launch plans now official, Microsoft is re-opening pre-orders, giving you one last chance to reserve the handset.
When AT&T announced the Lumia 900, it revealed that pre-orders for the cyan and black versions of the phone would open on March 30. Seeing as that’s still a couple days out, Microsoft provides an early option for those of you who would just sleep better knowing your LTE-enabled Lumia 900 will be waiting for you on launch day. The deal’s pretty much the same as before: $25 will reserve you a Lumia in the color of your choice. Though it hasn’t been confirmed, Microsoft may be sweetening the deal with some promotional offers; the 900 may arrive with one of the app cards we saw the company talking about in its recently-leaked marketing slides.
