The end of next month is when owners of a Sony tablet — namely Tablet S or Tablet P — should be preparing to receive the official Ice Cream Sandwich update from the manufacturer. Together with the platform refresh, some special features will be added like photo editing in the gallery, and panoramic pictures.
“Small Apps” is something you might be familiar with if you have (or have seen) a Samsung tablet. These “small apps”, which could be a calculator or browser window, will be running on top any other application currently displayed, pretty much like something the South Korean manufacturer does.
Additionally, the folding dual-screen Tablet P just received a WiFi-only cousin which will be available starting April 21 for ¥50,000 (roughly $600). It’s the same Tablet P but without the data connection bit and Sony is throwing in gold, pink, and blue panels for customization starting April 21 and ¥5,000 (around $60).
