More Signs Point to April 9 Nokia Lumia 900 AT&T Launch
It’s nearly time for Windows Phone users to get their first LTE option, upon the arrival of Nokia’s Lumia 900. At least, it feels like it’s nearly time, since AT&T hasn’t offered an official release date for the smartphone just yet. Last week, we checked-out a rumor that we’d be seeing the 900 finally arrive during the second week in April, with online availability starting on April 8, and the phone hitting stores on April 9. There’s still no official word, but further reports from AT&T employees continue to offer support for the rumored dates, and demo units have already been spotted in AT&T stores.
WPCentral reports that, ever since those first tales of an April 9 launch arrived, additional AT&T retail employees have been piping up and contacting the site to confirm that their stores, as well, are preparing for an April 9 launch. That sounds pretty confirmed by this point, but we’re all too aware of the chance for a carrier to change things up at the last moment and ruin our expectations.
If you’re still not convinced that AT&T is nearly ready to start selling the Lumia 900, claims of demo models already being on-hand at AT&T stores add just a little more credence to the rumors. With any luck, we’ll see a formal statement from AT&T sometime by early April.
