Back at the end of January, we got our first chance to check out the Acer Iconia Tab A510, a 10.1-inch Ice Cream Sandwich tablet running a 1.3GHz Tegra 3. So far, all we had heard regarding the A510’s release was that Acer would be bringing the tablet to Europe sometime during April, and the tablet would sell for approximately €500, which works-out to around $660. Today we learn of the tablet’s fate for North America, and there’s some nice surprises in store.

If the idea of the A510 sounded good to you, but you weren’t exactly loving that $660 price tag, you’ll be pleased to hear that Acer has revealed the A510 will be coming to both the United States and Canada, where it will sell for only $450; breaking that $500 barrier could make a world of difference in generating sales.

The version of the A510 tipped for North America is the Olympic edition we looked at a couple weeks ago. The tablet has a 1280 x 800 resolution, gigabyte of RAM, and while we’ve heard of varying storage options before, this A510 destined for the US may only be the 32GB version.
