ZTE And MetroPCS Announce The Score M Budget Android Phone

The ZTE Score is neither a new nor a high-end phone; it’s already available on Cricket since last year and it just made its way to MetroPCS, given with an “M” added to its name.

The ZTE Score M runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread but you really can’t expect it to run Ice Cream Sandwich on its modest specs. However, for $49 plus tax, after mail-in rebate, you get an entry-level device with a 600 MHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD, 1500 mAh battery, CDMA 1x-EVDOrA Cell/PCS/AWS network compatibility, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b/g. As ZTE itself acknowledges, it’s an Android device for those who want to “trial or upgrade to a smartphone”.
