Apple Rumored To Keep Same Prices for iPad3
We will know better in a couple of days but, until then, sources indicate the new iPad 3 will be launched with the same prices as its predecessors. While rumors suggested a $70-80 price increase for the third incarnation of the iPad, more recent news shows Apple’s new tablet to come with a price range from $499 for 16GB Wi-Fi to $829 for 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G. The information could prove to be accurate, as Apple has a tradition of not raising prices too much from one generation to the other. The same source also debunks rumors concerning Apple’s intentions to move to an 8GB/16GB/32GB iPad 3 line-up, instead of the current 16GB/32GB/64GB configuration.
On the other hand, a video emerged today showing what could possibly be the future iPad 3, made of prototype parts. Even if the resemblance with the iPad 2 is striking, the video deserves your attention, if only just to see the home button that generated so much debate lately.
Whether or not the sources are right we will see this week, when Apple is expected to launch its iPad 3. Meanwhile it is confirmed that Cupertino works hard to get the Yerba Buena Center ready for their March 7 launch event.
