Samsung Galaxy S II Running the Official ICS ROM (Video)
We’ve already seen what the leaked Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S II was capable of but the South Korean company made a lot of Galaxy S II users happy when it finally decided to roll-out the highly anticipated, final, official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM.
We didn’t notice many changes from the previous (leaked) build which was XXLPB but there are a couple of TouchWiz changes in the final build (though minor), which is XXLPQ — like the ability to once again have infinite scrolling for home screens and application drawer panels to the left and the right.
Battery seems to be well improved, at least we were happy to notice this after a day’s use. Performance-wise, we ran AnTuTu, Quadrant, LinPack and Smartbench, just like we previously did with XXLPB and you can see the scores in the chart below:
Of course, don’t let those percentages (or benchmarks for that matter) fool you. The ROM is smooth and works as it should with no bugs so far. Check it out in the video below!
