The iPhone 4’s antenna problems, which let to that certain antennagate, generated a lot of buzz not only in the Apple-world but also concerning the attention given by people, in general, to other manufacturers and phones. However, Apple’s antennagate led to a class action lawsuit which reportedly has been recently settled.

$15 or a bumper case is what U.S. residents who bought the iPhone 4 are entitled to. There were no less than 18 lawsuits which were consolidated into a single one and thus the settlement is valid for all parties. There will be a dedicated website, www.iPhone4Settlement.com, which doesn’t work at the moment, but where customers will be able to track progress and even file a claim.

“We believe that the Apple iPhone 4 settlement is fair, adequate, and reasonable. We believe that it allows members of the class to choose, and they can get $15 of cash or a bumper, so we believe that type of choice is proportional to the circumstances”, said Ira Rothken, co-lead counsel representing the class.
