LG Preparing To Show Off “Revolutionary Smartphones” At MWC

With just a little bit more than two weeks until the MWC in Barcelona, phone manufacturers are sending out press invites for their respective events. One such invite, from LG, claims the manufacturer will show off “revolutionary smartphones” on February 27. What can we expect?

The LG X3 will most probably be the flagship Android phone for the South Korean manufacturer. We’re expecting Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich, nVidia Tegra 3 SoC, 4.7-inch display with 1280×720 resolution, a sub-nine-millimeter profile, eight megapixels main camera, 1.3 megapixel webcam, and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

The LG CX2, aka Optimus 3D 2 or (Optimus) 3D MAX will be a follow-up to the 3D-enabled Optimus 3D from last year. Inside we’re expecting a 1.2GHz dual-core Texas Instruments CPU, NOVA autostereoscopic display for glasses-free 3D, dual rear cameras should of five megapixels, 8GB internal storage plus DLNA-capable 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth 3.0 radio.

On a slightly different note, LG teased the five-inch LG Optimus VU which might as well pop up at LG’s booth in Barcelona. The main selling point of the Android phone is that it will pack a display with a rather unusual 4:3 aspect ratio. Reports also indicate a 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8060 dual-core Scorpion chip, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, eight-megapixel camera, NFC, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board.

The LG E400 Optimus L3 already showed up for pre-orders at certain e-tailers as a budget but good-looking and classy Android phone. We wouldn’t be surprised to see it too in Barcelona.

Aside from Android phones LG is expected to unveil the LG Miracle Windows Phone. It will supposedly pack a four-inch WVGA NOVA display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of storage, 720p-capable five-megapixel rear camera, VGA-class front-facing webcam, plus the usual suspects: WiFi, Bluetooth and HSPA radio.
