Apple In ‘Crunch Mode’ Doing Final Preparations For iPad Event
Rumors seem to have already figured out almost everything about Apple and its upcoming iPad. The device is reportedly going to be called the iPad 3 (until we see it on stage, nothing’s certain though and it might be as well called iPad 2S or iPad HD), it will sport a so-called “Retina” display — even if the 2048×1536 resolution only accounts for 263.92 ppi — with a
quad-core A6 chip dual-core A6 processor and the event will be held at the beginning of next month (probably less than one month away).
According to recent reports, Apple is in “crunch mode” which means that the company is making final preparations for the event. At this stage the company is looking for, and filtering, applications to show off the new device with. The iPad 2 last year was introduced with the help of Garage Band, iMovie and Photo Booth; the next iPad will use graphics-oriented applications that will show off the display as well as the power of the GPU while on stage.
Some of the applications chosen — as well as demonstrations from developers Apple is requesting — will also be sent to the ad agency (TWBA/Chiat/Day) for future possible use in the new commercials.
