Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx Share Same Software

We already know that the Motorola-made Verizon Droid RAZR and its slightly fatter twin brother, the RAZR Maxx, share the exact same internals, with the exception of the larger battery which only adds below two-millimeters of bulk to the phone.

It is just normal that the two identical phones (if we disregard the battery) run the exact same software bits. According to recent reports, the version numbers are exactly the same. What does this mean for the user? Verizon and Motorola can push out software updates at the same time for the two device. Oh, and those custom ROMs and hack developed by the community…
