Acer showed off the Iconia Tab A700 at CES yesterday, destined to compete with the Asus Transformer Prime. However, Asus didn’t come empty-handed as they took the wraps off of the Transformer Prime TF700T, and improved model over the one which just recently went on sale.

The new Transformer Prime TF700T brings a new 1080p-capable, 1920 x 1200 Super IPS+ display (instead of 1280 x 800), a two-megapixel front-facer (opposed to the 1.3-megapixel on the older model), and a redesigned back panel in order to improve WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. The processor is still the 1.3GHz nVidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip and the keyboard dock is still the same.

The ICS-powered Asus Transformer Prime TF700T should go on sale in the U.S. towards the second quarter for $599 (32GB model) and $699 (64GB model).
