Toshiba AT200 Coming To the U.S. As the Excite X10
The slimmed-down ten-inch tablet from Toshiba which we’ve seen around Christmas time turned out to be the final design for the Toshiba AT200. The manufacturer just announced that it will arrive to the U.S. as the Excite X10, running Honeycomb but being Ice Cream Sandwich-ready.
The specs, as we’ve already seen, are a step forward from the Thrive. Packing a 1.2GHz TI OMAP4430 processor, the Excite X10 will operate with the help of a full gigabyte of RAM, and display images on the 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. There’s a combo of a five-megapixel main and two-megapixel front cameras, MicroUSB, MicroHDMI and MicroSD card slot, WiFI, Bluetooth and all the other goodies. There will be two configurations: 16GB going for $$529.99 and 32GB setting you back $599.99.
All the above are packed in a slate-shape measuring 10.1-inches in width, 6.9-inches in height and just 0.3-inches in thickness, with a weight of 1.18 pounds. Look for the Excite X10 in mid-Q1 2012 at major U.S. retailers, e-tailers and ToshibaDirect.com.
