New Galaxy Tablet Dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1? (Photo)
Samsung will be naming its latest tablet not the Galaxy Tab II (or 2), but rather Galaxy Tab 10.1 — after its screen size in inches — according to this promotional image from a major European mobile operator (full-size banner embedded vertically below). Expected to debut in less than 12 hours, the dual-core slate offers many of the same features as the Motorola Xoom, including a 1280 x 800 resolution and stock Android 3.0 Honeycomb build. Two cameras are on board: an eight-megapixel rear shooter with full 1080p video capture along with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing webcam.
Samsung will also be debuting its Galaxy S II smartphone at the Unpacked event, another dual-core device with 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GB of RAM, and either 16GB or 32GB storage capacities.
