Wozniak Wishes His iPhone Did All the Things His Android Does

Co-founder of Apple Computer, Co., Steve Wozniak, uses his Apple iPhone as his primary device because he loves the “beauty of it” but he said: “…I wish it did all the things my Android does, I really do“.

While Wozniak believes that the iPhone is still “the best overall smartphone”, he acknowledges that there are several departments in which Google’s Android has managed to leap ahead (such as voice commands or Android’s built-in navigation system). It is much easier to use an iPhone, unlike Android which has been often labeled as the platform for geeks. However, “if you’re willing to do the work to understand it a little bit, well I hate to say it, but there’s more available in some ways“, he added.

Wozniak also said that in his opinion Siri was working much better when it was a stand-alone application, compared to the present, when Siri is part of iOS after Apple bought it. “I used to ask Siri, ‘What are the five biggest lakes in California?’ and it would come back with the answer. Now it just misses. It gives me real estate listings. I used to ask, ‘What are the prime numbers greater than 87?’ and it would answer. Now instead of getting prime numbers, I get listings for prime rib, or prime real estate,” Woz concluded.
