Nokia Lumia 900 With Improved Camera Coming To Other Carriers?

When Stephen Elop went on stage to show the Lumia 900 to the world, he also said that the device will be an AT&T exclusive, without mentioning whether it was a permanent or a temporary exclusivity.

According to the recent rumors, it appears that the exclusivity is indeed a temporary one and it will be in place for 45 days. After the temporary exclusivity ends, other carriers — “T-Mobile (and probably Verizon, possibly Sprint)” — are free to initiate talks with Nokia about bringing the Lumia 900, a variant or an upgraded version to their network sometime between the half of 2012 and Q3. The upgraded Lumia 900 is believed to have a twelve-megapixel camera instead of the eight-megapixel one currently headed to AT&T. Maybe this is what the company had in mind when we were told about Nokia preparing exclusive Windows Phones for each U.S. carrier?
