Nokia Preparing Exclusive Windows Phones For Each U.S. Carrier

If you love Windows Phone and Nokia but AT&T isn’t the carrier of your choice so that you can go with the Lumia 900 once it will be available, don’t worry, Espoo has got you covered. We’re not talking about the Lumia 710 which is available as of today.

According to Chris Weber, Nokia’s president of North America, “the most important thing we can do in the U.S. market is bring exclusive devices and opportunities to each of the carriers. Doing that exclusivity and giving them something unique allows us to get great carrier support”.

Without giving out many details, Weber referred to Verizon as being “a very important partner for us”, so they’re probably preparing something for Big Red too.

Nokia is playing a very important card in this game. If played right, it can not only help Nokia gain back some part of the U.S. market but will also highly contribute to the growth of Windows Phone, which it adopted as primary smartphone strategy back in February last year.
