Nokia Ace To Enjoy $100 Million Marketing Campaign On AT&T?
The numbers mentioned are somewhere around $100 million but it is yet unknown how this amount will be divided among Microsoft, Nokia and AT&T. It looks like Microsoft managed to score an agreement with AT&T which grants the Ace a “hero” status, meaning the carrier will heavily promote the phone in ads, retail channels and direct store associates. It will be the first such move for a Windows Phone in the U.S.
The Ace will be, at the time of its announcement, the flagship Nokia Windows Phone on the American market. It will be a chance for Nokia to come back strong and for Microsoft to start gaining some more market share percentage points. Depending on how well the Ace will sell, there will allegedly be another Windows Phone that Microsoft will want to feature as a “hero” towards the holiday season.
