Sprint Celebrates the Return of Basketball with NBA Mobile App
Basketball fans in the US breathed a sigh of relief this month, when a new collective bargaining agreement was reached between players and owners, ending the lockout. With that out of the way, games are now back on, and the regular season got started yesterday. Just in time, Sprint’s announced the arrival of its Sprint NBA Mobile app for Android.
Sprint subscribers can install the app to keep them abreast of all the latest NBA news, check out the most recent scores, updated in real-time, and track player stats. To help keep you up on the action during gametime, the app gives you access to radio broadcast coverage, as well as live video courtesy of ESPN.
If you’re looking for something a little more comprehensive, there’s always the NBA League Pass, giving you access to even out-of-market games. After things are over, you can go back and check the game out again on replay, or pull up highlights on-demand. Normally, this level of coverage runs smartphone users $40 for the season, but Sprint subscribers can get it for 20% off. If you’re not sure if it’d be worth it, even with that discount, Sprint users can check out a free preview of League Pass, which will last you up until January 8.
