How to Disable Screen Animations in Android 4.0 ICS

Screen animations are annoying. While they look pretty, they add precious seconds to your workflow, which can slow you down. Not only that, screen animations toll your device’s CPU and GPU, which can reduce battery life. As if you needed another reason to disable screen animations, doing so will make your device feel faster. In other versions of Android before Ice Cream Sandwich, you could easily turn off screen animations in Display settings. In 4.0, this setting has moved. You can find it in the Developer Options under Windows Animation Scale. Just set this to “Animation Off” and wave goodbye to the unnecessary animations.
