O2 Brings Nokia Lumia 800 As “Major Holiday Season Strategy”?
After the official announcement of the Nokia Lumia 800, there were quite a few speculations regarding O2, especially that the carrier will not get the phone in its line-up, because of alleged high demands from Nokia.
According to recent reports based on an alleged leaked email, the two companies have reached an agreement: Nokia will be supporting O2 stores over the holiday season throwing in sales incentives and O2 Direct stores in Germany will have Nokia Lumia displays placed next to iPhone displays, like we’ve recently seen.
Additionally, Telefonica (O2 belongs to the group) will be promoting the phone in printed ads and magazines which is a rather strange turn given Simon Lee-Smith’s take on Nokia phones being to expensive. November 15 is the date to circle in your calendar if these reports turn out to be true. The Black version will arrive first with the cyan and magenta arriving in December.
