Motorola Droid RAZR First Boot (Video)
The Droid RAZR is the latest flagship smartphone from both Motorola and Verizon, featuring LTE, a dual-core processor, and the thinnest design to-date. But how does this influence what you see on the screen, and what can you expect the first time you turn on your new RAZR?
The first thing you’ll notice is just how fast the phone boots up — especially the very first boot, which is usually the longest. As soon as you’re booted up the waiting begins. Like most CDMA devices, the RAZR has to activate itself with the network. In this case activation took an annoyingly long two or three minutes. After that you’ve got to wait for another reboot, after that you’re on your way again. Luckily, you’ll only have to endure this once.
Setting up the RAZR is essentially the same as most Androids. Motorola goes the extra mile an adds a social network setup screen where you can configure all your accounts. Very nice.
After you’re set, up Motorola adds a screen that lets you watch some instructional videos to see how to use your new-found power to its fullest potential.
