Adobe Releases Probably Last Flash Feature Update 11.1

Adobe prepared a little surprise for the world on November 9 when it announced that the company will no longer develop mobile Flash Player. The recent update will probably be the last feature update for the software.

As with any Adobe Flash update, the new version brings bugfixes, security as well as performance enhancements. Adobe exec Danny Winokur blogged about future support versions to arrive as Adobe will “continue to provide critical bug fixes and security updates for existing device configurations”. How long will these be supported is a good question not to mention relatively bad track record of OEMs and carriers when it comes to updating Android hardware to the latest release of the platform.
