Apple Has No Plans To Offer Siri On Older Devices

Last week there were some reports according to which Apple was allegedly testing Siri on iPhone 4 devices belonging to employees. Turns out there are no plans for Cupertino to get the personal assistant to last-year’s model.

In an email to developer Michael Steeber, Apple confirmed that there are no plans for the iPhone 4 to get Siri, as the virtual assistant will be an iPhone 4S-exclusive offering. “Siri only works on iPhone 4S and we currently have no plans to support older devices”, said Apple, but we know that Siri works just well with the iPhone 4. Without official support, it will come down to the developer community to port, if possible (both technically and legally), Siri to those rocking an iPhone 4.
