Samsung Illusion, BlackBerry Curve 9370 VZW Release Dates Tipped

Earlier this morning, we looked at a leaked Verizon roadmap that gave us yet another potential launch date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. As the first Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, we’re obviously very keen to learn as much as we can about its release plans, such that in our excitement we breezed right past a couple other handsets, for which this leak also gives us some new information.

One week ago, another Verizon leak, this time a list of rebate values for phones being sold during November, revealed the forthcoming arrival of the Samsung Illusion and BlackBerry Curve 9370. While their inclusion on the list strongly suggested they’d be released sometime during the month, we lacked any more precise of a date. According to this new roadmap, though, both smartphones are set for a launch on November 17.

We haven’t seen prices for either of these models (short of their rebate values), but we expect both to be relatively budget-priced. After all, the Illusion has what we’ve heard are some aging hardware specs, including an 800MHz processor. The 9370 has a similarly-clocked CPU, but being a BlackBerry, Verizon could still be thinking about charging a bit of a premium; we’ve seen its cousin the 9350 fetch about $80 on-contract at Sprint.
