SwiftKey Testing New Alpha Release With Multi-Touch Input

SwiftKey X finally left beta testing this past summer, bringing Android users a virtual keyboard option that places heavy emphasis on an advanced AI for predicting what you’re about to type. Since then, SwiftKey has been working on a new version of the software, and is now ready to start alpha-testing its new features.

The big new inclusion in this release is support for multi-touch input. As a result, you should hopefully be able to tap away at your screen as fast as you can manage and SwiftKey X will keep up with your furious pace; no more confusing it when taps aren’t quite discrete enough.

As an alpha release, even SwiftKey readily admits the app may not be up to the task of daily use, but it’s still encouraging testers to put SwiftKey X through its paces and report back on whatever failings they run into. The testing is only open to users with VIP accounts, so you may not be able to grab this new version today. Hopefully SwiftKey will quickly get the feedback it needs and get multi-touch ready for a proper release.
