Samsung Illusion, BlackBerry Curve 9370 Spotted In Verizon Leak

While much of our focus on upcoming smartphones for Verizon has centered on high-end models like the Motorola Droid RAZR, HTC Rezound, and of course the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, we’d be remiss to not address some of the less-well-equipped hardware set to arrive at the carrier. A recent leaked documents mentions a few, and may help to indicate when they’ll finally be released.

This leaked list covers rebate discounts available for current and upcoming models. While it does not directly mention release dates for any models, the document covers a time period from today through November 28, strongly suggesting that all models named will be available by the end of those four weeks.

RIM’s BlackBerry 9370 is on the lower-end of the company’s recent hardware, running an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM. Though the 9350, 9360, and 9370 are all similar, mostly just differing by their radios, the 9370 benefits from extra flash storage, topping-out at 1GB.

An earlier leak had assigned the Samsung Illusion a late-October launch date, but the phone remains elusive. We’ve seen some nice-looking renders of the phone, but still know little about its internal composition. All signs point to it being another lower-end model, probably also with an 800MHz processor, and a low-resolution screen; at least we can expect it to be cheap.
