LG Switch Envisions a Two-Sided Phone (Video)

This is the LG Switch, an LG concept smartphone that provides the user with two displays. Why two? The dual configuration acts as somewhat of a multi-tasking interface: you rotate the phone to access another application. At first glance, this might seem like a novelty, but it might make sense to physically rotate a phone in order to get access to another program. This gives the feeling of separation, which is logical when you are running different applications at the same time.

Whether such an interface makes sense we’re not sure (although the lackluster sales of the dual-screened Kyocera Echo might foretell its fate), nor are we sure whether this phone will ever be more than a concept shown in a video. The firm responsible for this concept is the same that came up with the BrandTable concept that you might have seen from a few days ago.
