BlackBerry Bold 9790 Back On Film; Announcement Tomorrow?

The still-unannounced BlackBerry Bold 9790 recently showed-off a new change to its external design, swapping-out a flat button panel for individually raised buttons. The image revealing the modification was a blurry mess, so if you were hoping to get a clearer look, a much higher-quality image of the new 9790 has surfaced, and may also offer a clue as to when we could hope to hear the phone announced.

Here, you can see the new button construction for the 9790, clear as day. You’ll also notice the phone’s keyboard features Arabic characters; that might have been what got TechCrunch thinking about the photo’s source, which was a Twitter user apparently located in Dubai. That may remind you of an upcoming event we’ve been expecting, where Porsche Design will almost certainly debut the odd-looking 9890 tomorrow, October 27, also in Dubai.

Our impression was that this event would be more about Porsche Design than RIM, but if there are 9790s floating around the Middle East, there’s certainly a chance that the model might be featured at tomorrow’s event. If anything like this is actually revealed, we’ll be sure to let you know tomorrow.
