Microsoft Signs Patent Agreement With Quanta Related To Android

After signing Android-related licensing deals with HTC and Samsung, Microsoft is continuing to leverage its portfolio of patents by recently signing an agreement with Quanta, the ODM (original design manufacturer) for the Playbook and Kindle Fire.

The deal covers Quanta-made consumer electronics such as tablets, smartphones and other devices running Android (or Chrome Platform). The exact details of the deal have not been made public but given the fact that Microsoft is rumored to make $5 of every HTC-made Android smartphone and $10 from Samsung, you can see where this is situated.
