In this episode of the iOS App Picks we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, check out which trailers of iTunes movies and upcoming releases, and use your iPhone 4’s/4S’ LED as a flashlight. To download these apps directly to your iPhone, just click on the title of the application and the iTunes software will automatically launch to the app in the App Store. If you have the free Google Search app installed on your iPhone just snap a picture of the QR-Code using Google Goggles or any other QR-Code scanner that will launch the App Store on your iPhone.

Countdown – No lite and $0.99 full version


With Countdown you will be able to keep track of exactly how many months, years, days, and even seconds there are until an upcoming event. This is a great app for anyone that likes to know the exact amount of time to the next holiday, vacation, party, or other important event so you know how much time you have left to get prepared.


Flashlight – A free application


A very convenient feature of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S is that they both have an LED light on the back for the camera. With Flashlight you will be able to use the LED as a flashlight in situations when you are without light. This app has a couple of neat settings such as a strobe light and SOS feature.


Carve-A-Pumpkin – A free application


As Halloween approaches a great tradition to share with your family is carving the jack o’lantern. With Carve-A-Pumpkin you will be able to create your own custom pumpkin from many different varieties. Allow your kids to create their own pumpkins without the risk of cutting themselves.


iTunes Movie Trailers – A free application


While watching movies on your iDevice is convenient while you are out and about finding a movie to watch in a theater is usually a better option. With iTunes Movie Trailers you will be able to preview upcoming DVD, BluRay, and Theatrical movie trailers from your iOS device. View the top movies, theaters in your area, and calendar release dates. Share the movies you think look interesting with your friends over Twitter or email.
