Windows Phone 7.5 Mango RTM’d UPDATE: Not Yet

We’ve heard rumors and seen a video of the Nokia Sea Ray running what is expected to be the final version of Windows Phone Mango, but now we’re also hearing confirmation from the Windows Phone Dev Podcast that the much-anticipated update has already been released to manufacturers. That means they can start producing new devices with the final code if they haven’t already. The gold build number is expected to be 7710 which is a bit of a jump up from the current beta 7661 build number we’ve got right now. For more about what kind of features are coming to Windows Phone Mango, check out our extensive preview of build 7661. You can expect to see a few more new features in the final version, including Twitter integration, deep-linking for apps, and maybe some other surprises.

UPDATE: WP7Dev has just tweeted:

For those wondering, Mango has not yet hit RTM. We’re excited about the progress… stay tuned

So it looks like it has not actually been released to manufacturing after all. Sorry for the false alarm.
