Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Lets You Correct Bing (Video)

In our Windows phone Mango preview device there’s a nice new feature in the menu for Bing locations that lets you suggest changes or corrections. It only shows up in searches for locations really, but it’s a good way to easily help Bing fix some of the errors or recent changes to local places that you may come across.

When you tap the “suggest changes” command, it will load a webpage with fields relating to the location that you had previously selected. From there you can tell Bing that the business has closed down, or you can update their address, phone number, and category. I kind of wish there was a field for updating the location’s website URL as I’ve seen some places with missing links that would be useful to have. There’s also a map where you can tap to move the push pin location and submit it to Bing in order to update the mapping data.
