In this episode of the Windows Phone 7 App Roundup we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, allow you to play music videos directly from your Windows Phone 7 smartphone, and view all of the Wikipedia entries around you. To download these apps directly to your WP7 device, just click on the title of the application and the Zune software will automatically launch to the app in Marketplace. If you have the free Microsoft Tag app installed on your WP7 smartphone just snap a picture of the Tag image and the mobile Marketplace will navigate to that app.

ArkWords – A free application


Arkwords is a simple to use all-in-one dictionary, thesaurus, and translator. This app allows you to define a word and listen to it. Click on the thesaurus button to get synonyms and antonyms and translate practically any word to another language.


ShopSavvy – A free application


ShopSavvy is a great app for anyone that likes to save money. This app shows local deals in your area from major retailers. Scan a barcode to compare prices online and locally to know you are getting the best deal. Some local retailers will even match prices from online stores to help you save even more.


Vevo – A free application


With Vevo you will be able to search and watch music videos directly from your Windows Phone 7 smartphone. View the featured and top videos from the categories. The video quality is very good and you can even save the videos to your playlists to watch at a later time.


Wiki Talking Tours – A free application


Have you ever been in an unfamiliar city and wanted to know about the local historical sites? With Wiki Talking Tours you will be able to view information about Wikipedia entries based upon your location. Just click on one the pins on the map and view a short description about that item, view more information to see the entire Wikipedia entry.


Penguin – A free application


Penguin is a free game for Windows Phone 7 that is sort of reminiscent of Tiny Wings for other mobile platforms. The object of the game is to propel the penguin through the mountain ranges while collecting fish and other items. Touch the screen as you approach a downward slope to give the Penguin more momentum before running out of energy.
