Samsung Selling More Than 10 Million Galaxy S II Units

Yes, you read right! Samsung is breaking another record by selling 10 million Galaxy S II units in five months and these numbers don’t include the American variants of the phone available on U.S. carriers.

Just for the sake of comparison, the previous record, the one that was broken, was the Samsung Galaxy S which sold the same amount of units, but not under five, but seven months. Out of the total number of 10 million, more than 3.6 were sold in its home market, Korea. Second comes Europe with 3.4 million and 2.3 million for the third placed Southeast Asia (except Korea).

With the finally available U.S. variants of the phone, the numbers will continue to rise but the tendency might not be that obvious as Samsung already announced the Galaxy Note, Galaxy S II LTE and more recently, the Galaxy S II HD LTE (for Korea). These might impact on the overall sale figures of the S II, which will soon be dethroned by higher-end, HD-enabled smartphones.
