Samsung Announces Galaxy S II HD LTE For Korea
Samsung has made the Galaxy S II LTE (pictured on the left) phone official before showing it off at this year’s IFA and is now introducing the phone to Korea’s SK Telecom, together with something really juicy: Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE.
You’ve heard right: HD. The Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE (pictured on the right) is the first of the Galaxy S series phones to sport an HD display. The screen measures 4.65-inch and it’s a Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This accounts for a total value of 315.56 PPI. The rest of the specs are on par with its non-HD brother, the Galaxy S II LTE, which means there’s a 1.5GHz dual core processor on-board, eight-megapixel camera with full HD 1080p video recording capability, 16GB internal memory, plus the usual stuff, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. NFC is also in as well as TV-out with the help of the MHL port.
The platform is Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz 4.0 on top of it. The phone will be available on all three Korean carriers: SK Telecom, KT and LG U+. Now, Samsung, bring this on internationally!
