The rumors and leaks have been piling up around the HTC Rhyme (formerly known as the HTC Bliss) but the Taiwanese manufacturer just made an official announcement. The phone is live and is coming to Verizon on September 29, with international markets getting it in October.

The phone features a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 3.7 inch WVGA display, five-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, front-facing webcam, 3G HSDPA compatible radio, WiFi, GPS, and will run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with HTC’s Sense UI 3.5 on top of it.

The phone comes with a “charm” that will light up whenever a notification is active and the three dots you see on the back side are actually contacts. There is an included dock for the Rhyme in which the phone lays down on its back and those dots will serve as points of contact between the device and the dock.

Additionally, there will be other accessories like tangle-free headphones, an armband and a Bluetooth headset.
