HTC Vigor Hits FCC With Verizon LTE Band
If the rumored specs we’ve heard for the HTC Vigor are ultimately accurate, were looking at one pretty darn powerful smartphone. Supposedly, the Vigor will have a 4.3-inch display with a full 720p resolution, along with a dual-core processor in the 1.2-1.5GHz range. The icing on the cake is that the Vigor would be on Verizon’s LTE network for some really high-speed data. Now the phone is one step closer to release, showing up today in FCC documentation.
Just as we’d expect, the paperwork shows support for Verizon’s CDMA bands for voice and data, as well as its 700MHZ LTE band 13. Sadly, there’s no new imagery of the phone included in the filing, not even a wireframe rendering for the location of the FCC label, or anything else that could tell us something new about the smartphone. Still, it’s good to see that its release appears to be on-track, and to get confirmation of its LTE abilities.
Besides the processing power, high-resolution screen, and LTE speed, we’re also looking forward to the Vigor including some speaker technology to come from the HTC-Beats partnership, and for HTC to spruce-up the phone with its latest Sense 3.5 UI.
