We’ve been fans of Spb’s shell UI replacements for a while. They started original on Windows Mobile back in 2007 (See our review of version 1.5), but have since expanded to offering shell replacements for Android and Symbian as well. Today we’ve got a new version of Spb Shell 3D for Symbian and we’ve got it running on the Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna.

Spb Mobile Shell has evolved quite a lot over the years, so be sure to check out what version 2.0, version 3.0, version 3.5 as well as the Android version of Spb Shell 3D looked like.

Spb Shell 3D for Symbian mostly aims to change the look of your home screen with gorgeous 3D eyecandy and also add some cool functionality. While normally Symbian Anna does have a similar multi-screen home-screen and moveable widgets, Spb Shell 3D adds much more customization as well as a very cool 3D carousel effect for spinning through your home screen panels. You can find Spb Shell 3D for Symbian on the Spb website for $14.99.
