Apple’s N94 iPhone Prototype Gains FCC ID; Is This The iPhone 4S?

The recent rumors of an N94 iPhone prototype and the release of iOS 5 Beta 7 have shed some light on Apple’s future roadmap. It seems this N94 prototype, which is dubbed as identical to the current generation iPhone 4, but with probable inner enhancements, has already received an FCC ID: BCG-E2430A.

The file that includes all the regulatory information on the iPhone’s version of iOS 5 Beta 7 leaks it off on the regulatory section of the OS’ beta settings. Compared to the GSM iPhone 4 code BCG-E2380A and CDMA iPhone 4 code BCG-E2422A, everything makes sense. The FCC most likely shared the code information before receiving the device upon announcement, but this all proves that it’s getting close.

We’re still not sure if this future version of the iPhone will be everything we’ll get in the next coming weeks, or if there still is room for the N93 prototype we heard of at the beginning of the year. Hopefully an invitation will arrive to our door soon, and everything will get cleared out in Apple’s music event.
