There have been many rumors about the upcoming Apple-phone, some referring to hardware, others to release dates but we’re still not 100% sure when the next iPhone will be released and what it’s exact hardware specs will be.

A developer of some of the most popular iOS apps has approached Techcrunch and, while asking for anonymity, confirmed that the next iPhone will be a GSM/CDMA world phone. The person sent in some logs which reportedly show app registrations from a new Apple-phone, running iOS 5.

Different persons running the same hardware but with different mobile network codes and mobile country codes have registered for the application and these codes reveal Verizon and AT&T as carriers. Based on this information, we’re likely to see a single world phone solution from Apple for their upcoming phone, as suggested earlier by Verizon CFO Fran Shammo.
