HTC September Event To Be Windows-Phone-Only?

HTC posted an event on its Facebook page last week, inviting fans in London to get a peek at what’s next for the company on Thursday, September 1. We had our own guesses about what HTC might be planning to reveal, focusing on a few of the Android models we’ve heard HTC is working on. A new rumor says that we’ll have to wait until another opportunity to check out the company’s future Android lineup, and that this September 1 event is going to showcase only Windows Phone devices.

Supposedly, HTC will be featuring the Omega and the Eternity, both running Mango. We’ve been hearing about this pair since springtime, and have come across some rumored specs, but has that information been accurate? This rumor about HTC’s event describes the Eternity as having a 3.7-inch screen, and the Omega as a 4.5-inch model. Prior to this, we were expecting to see a huge 4.7-inch Eternity and a 3.8-inch Omega.

We’ve previously heard of the Omega having the 3G bands for European operation, and this new source says that it would also be coming to T-Mobile in the States. The Eternity may find a home with AT&T. All we hear about a release date is “soon”.
