In this episode of the Windows Phone 7 App Roundup we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, allow you record audio notes on the fly, and view news from around the world in an elegant manner. To download these apps directly to your WP7 device, just click on the title of the application and the Zune software will automatically launch to the app in Marketplace. If you have the free Microsoft Tag app installed on your WP7 smartphone just snap a picture of the Tag image and the mobile Marketplace will navigate to that app.

FotoBank – A free application


Search through thousands of photos with FotoBank. Use the various categories to find the exact photo you are looking for or try searching for keywords. The photos can be saved directly to your Windows Phone 7 smartphone and used for wallpaper or anything else.


Sound Shaper – A free application


Sound Shaper makes it easy to record audio and save it. Change the pitch of the audio recording and many other settings. It is easy to record the audio just click on the record button and Sound Shaper will do the rest.

Catch Phrase Pary – No trial and $2.99 full version


If you have ever play Catch Phrase you know how much fun it can be. With Catch Phrase Party you get the same great game play in a small Windows Phone 7 package. The app has thousands of words and topics that you must act out without using or rhyming the words on the screen. The last team to have the Windows Phone 7 in their hand loses that round and the point goes to the other team. The first team to 7 points wins the game.


Tentacles – Trial and $4.99 full version


Tentacles is a fun Xbox Live game. The object of the game is to use your tentacles to maneuver through the body of your creator, Dr. Phluff. Apparently he was trying to create a cute a cuddly creature but instead created the tentacle monster. Go through his body to try and beat the game while avoiding other ghastly creatures and bosses.
