In this episode of the iOS App Picks we demonstrate five applications in 30 seconds each. These apps will keep you entertained, find out exactly what song is playing on the radio, and keep track of your upcoming trips. To download these apps directly to your iPhone, just click on the title of the application and the iTunes software will automatically launch to the app in the App Store. If you have the free Google Search app installed on your iPhone just snap a picture of the QR-Code using Google Goggles or any other QR-Code scanner that will launch the App Store on your iPhone.

GoDocs – $4.99 full version, no lite version available


GoDocs is one of the best iOS apps that allow you to connect to your Google Documents account. Download full versions of your documents and save them to view later. There is a multimedia PDF viewer so you can see your PDF files exactly how they are meant to be seen. Open videos, music, and other files with another app if you like.


Foodies – $0.99 full version, no lite version available


Foodies is a fun game in which you must maneuver the little monster into the vicinity of the food so he can eat. The game play is somewhat original and takes a little bit to get used to. Complete the task within the allotted bounces and move on to the next level.


SoundHound – A lite and $6.99 full version


SoundHound is great for anyone that wants to know what song is playing. Just push the Tap Here button and SoundHound will listen and generate a result. You can even hum or sing if you have a song stuck in your head that you just don’t know the title to. Search for virtually anything music and download it from iTunes. The lyrics can be displayed like a karaoke machine by intuitively syncing with the song playing.


ShopSavvy – A free application


If you are a frugal shopper then ShopSavvy is the app for you. Just scan a barcode or search and ShopSavvy will display local and online store’s prices of the same product. Many retail locations are offering price matching to online stores.


Tripit – A lite and $3.99 full version


Tripit is the easiest travel organizer around. Just forward your confirmation emails to [email protected] and your Tripit account will be automatically update. The app will display who will be traveling, locations, dates, times, confirmation numbers, frequent travel numbers, and much more. Add your own trip manually for trips that do not have a confirmation email.
