Samsung Hercules for T-Mobile Revealed (Photos) [Update]

This is the Samsung Hercules, a highly-aniticipated dual-core handset expected to land on T-Mobile as a stand-in for the Galaxy S II. We first heard of Hercules thanks to an alleged leaked roadmap outlined by This is my next back in May. That report had the 4.5-inch Gingerbread slate running a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (not Samsung’s own Exynos) coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal ROM storage.

As we saw last week, Hercules should also be heading north to Canada to join Telus’ lineup, like the Vibrant and Galaxy S 4G did before it.

Also part of the reported package are a 1080p-capable eight-megapixel camera, NFC capabilities, and category 24 HSDPA for T-Mobile’s 42Mbps HSPA+ rollout. September 26th was given as the release date, and naturally this flagship phone will fetch a premium price, perhaps north of $300 before the inevitable wave of discounts.

Update: TmoNews scored a picture of the back, which actually names this as a Galaxy S II variant! It looks like the rumor of Magenta being denied the SGSII has been proven wrong.
