Those of you who are using Google’s Android mobile OS on your phones have a very powerful GMail client for all your messaging needs but others often have to rely on the mobile web to access their Google Mail. Mountain View just updated Google Mobile to make it sharper and smoother.

If you are an iPhone user, you’ll be happy to see that when you pull your inbox contents down and release them, you will actually be refreshing its content, like with many iOS applications. Also, since iPhone 4 users have the awesome Retina display, the icons inside Gmail Mobile will no longer look soft and dull as Google replaced them with higher resolution ones that are sharper and just look better on the screen. Those aside, you’ll notice the slide animations when you navigate inside your e-mail. The transition is fast and goes from left to right.
