One of the many new BlackBerrys RIM will shortly be launching to help revamp its aging smartphone lineup, the Torch 9850 has been popping up in Sprint release roadmaps for the past few months. Most recently, we’ve seen the phone attached to an August 21 release date. With the phone nearly upon us, it’s not surprising that we’ve seen a few pictures of the device slip out, but now we can get a really good look at it, thanks to a new render of the smartphone.

Here you can see the 9850 getting ready for Sprint; it should also be putting in an appearance with US Cellular. The smartphone is the CDMA version of the 9860; we originally knew the pair as the Monaco and the Monza. The handset will arrive running BlackBerry OS 7 on its 1.2GHz processor, have NFC capabilities, and feature a 3.7-inch display.

In addition to the Torch 9850, we expect Sprint to release the Bold 9930, supposedly on August 21 as well. The carrier has yet to formally announce either model, but you can count on hearing something from it in the next few weeks leading up to the anticipated launch.
