Google Updates Gmail App, Adds Priority Mail, Custom Ringtones

Google Mail is automatically set up on your Android phone regardless if you use it or not but since it’s already there you might as well put it to work. The GMail application to handle those e-mails has been updated with some exciting features.

Besides all those usual performance improvements, the new GMail application has the ability to only sync “priority mail”, saving some battery current and bandwidth bits. You can set up custom notifications and ringtones individually for labels in your inbox and the new version now remembers “show picture” options for senders. Those aside, you can turn off sticky message actions in landscape or all orientations and get better TalkBalk support for accessibility.

You can get the new version of GMail and enjoy all those new features by following the source link below or by checking out the Market application on your Android phone.
