It was this past spring that Spb brought its acclaimed Shell 3D interface to Android. It’s been a few months, and the company has just released a significant update to the homescreen replacement software (which is still quite pricey at $15). Shell 3D 1.2 adds enhancements to several of the widgets, brings landscape support, stereoscopic 3D support, plus the ability to change the DPI to work on tablets. In fact, as we found, the tablet mode works particularly well on smartphones, especially if you have a large display. Tablet mode will decrease the size of icons and text, allowing you to fit much more data on a given screen. If you have a device with a 4.3″ screen or larger, you should have no probably reading text and seeing icons on the tablet setting.
